The DSGA Model Accession Agreement Template is a pre-formatted legal contract between a disclosing and an acceding public body, designed to support compliant data sharing under the Data Sharing and Governance Act 2019 (DSGA).
It ensures:
- compliance with all mandatory DSGA legal requirements
- transparency of data sharing purposes, processing, and safeguards for data subject rights
- structured guidance for mandatory content, particularly for Stage 3: Data Governance Board Review
Once signed and published, the agreement becomes legally binding. The template is available in both English and Irish. Future updates will not affect the validity of existing agreements.
