DSGA Model Data Sharing Agreement Template

The DSGA Model Data Sharing Agreement (DSA) Template is a pre-formatted legal contract designed for public bodies to share personal data under the Data Sharing and Governance Act 2019 (DSGA). It ensures:

• compliance with all mandatory DSGA legal requirements
• transparency of data sharing purposes and processing, and safeguards protecting data subject rights
• guidance for drafting mandatory content for each section based on Section 19 of the DSGA requirements that supports key stages like Stage 4 Public Consultation and Stage 6 Data Governance Board Review

Once signed, executed and published, the agreement becomes legally binding. Previous versions of this template remain compliant, and while future revisions may occur, existing agreements are unaffected. The template is available in both English and Irish.
